Purpose: Coaching is a family-centered model. This study explores the feasibility of the online coaching model and explores the factors related to the feasibility of remote intervention for children with developmental delays and their parents, in order to provide information for children with developmental delays as references for children’s therapeutic services. Methods: The researcher compiled a self-designed questionnaire scored by a Likert scale. The five levels represented: very dissatisfied, dissatisfied, average, satisfied, and very satisfied, and three open-ended questions. Electronic questionnaires were distributed to parents of children aged 2 to 6 years old with developmental delays. A total of 57 questionnaires were collected. After eliminating 7 invalid questionnaires, there were a total of 50 valid questionnaires. The parents’ response data in the questionnaires were analyzed. Results: The overall average score for the feasibility of the online parent coaching model is 4.05 points. For each question that parents gave a score of 4 or above, the range was between 66% and 80%. About 60% to 80% of parents thought that the online parent coaching model is feasible. Exploring the feasibility of the online parent coaching model under the influence of different factors, it was found that except for the smoothness of using video equipment and parent satisfaction with remote early childhood care, there were no significant differences. Through multiple regression analysis, it was found that only the average parent satisfaction score for remote early childhood care has a significant impact on the average feasibility score of the parent coaching model. Conclusion: Parental past experiences in the smoothness in using video equipment and satisfaction with remote early childhood therapy were related to their belief in the feasibility of the online coaching model. Among them, parents’ satisfaction with remote early childhood therapy is a significant predictor. If parents have had satisfactory remote early childhood therapy experience in the past, they would consider that the feasibility of implementing the online parent coaching model is higher.
